The dead questioner asks if his friend is well, while once anew emphasizing his own death: the dead man cannot be hearty but instead is svelte and pine. And he wants to know if the still living friend has base to sleep in / A better bed than bomb? <br />Seventh and Eighth Stanzas: Friend <br />Because the speaker is dead and no longer has the ability alternatively need to plough, neither to hear the jingling of the horses harness, he asks his friend if these things are going above as they did when the questioner was man alive. <br />Commentary <br />A. He reminds the living friend that he is dead and cannot play whichever longer: Now I stand up no more. <br />But the friend replies that the sweetheart is contented, and while she works to mattress by night, she is not sighing. At this point, the reader becomes suspicious: how does this friend know thatthe dead mans sweetheart is no longer mourning and that when she works to bed she is not weeping? <br />First and Second Stanzas: Farming <br />In the fifth stanza, the dead man asks approximately his sweetheart, whom he thought hard to depart. He wants to know if she has stopped pining and crying because him. The dead man assumes that his girl would have mourned his passing and still might be in mourning. <br />In the premier stanza, a die male asks a answer of a living man. The dead man absences apt understand whether the crew of horses he secondhand to plough his farmland namely still working; thus, he asks, Is my team ploughing?
