Theeffectsofgascompositiononthegrowthcharacteristicsofboron-dopedCNTswerein-vestigated. Scanningelectronmicroscopy, transmissionelectronmicroscopyandX-rayphotoelectronspectrosco-PYwereusedtoevaluatethestructureandcomposition. ResultsshowthatadditionofB2H6influencesthegrowthcharacteristicofCNTsgreatly, makingCNTend. IncreasingtheamountofB2H6leadstoastructuralchangeintheCNTsfromstraighttubulartobamboo-like. Outerdiameterincreasesfrom60-90amto200-250am. tubewal1thicknessincreasesfrom10-20amto70-100am. andaroughersurfaceandadecreasedgrowthrateisnoted.
