Mining can be disorienting when starting out. But even so Supra Bandit, it's still one of the best Professions to start off with. That gave me the idea to write a series of articles dedicated to the Mining Profession to make it easier for WoW gamers to get a hang of it quickly. Let's start out with what skills you get, secondary Professions needed, what equipment you need to have, and where to find trainers for the Mining skill. Alright supra vaider, let's go. WoW mining comes with the two additional skills of Smelting and Finding Minerals. You will get to choose a secondary profession, for mining these are the best secondary professions: * Blacksmithing * Jewelcrafting * Engineering These Professions need materials that you can only get through Mining, because of this they make excellent secondary Professions and will help you immediately. Without the Mining Profession you will have to buy the materials and that gets really expensive. Get yourself a Mining Pick. Once you get it you will need to train in the Mining skill. Here is a list of mining trainers and where they are located: Zone - Name - Location * Azuremyst Isle - Dulvi - Azure Watch * Darkshore - Kurdram Stonehammer - North Auberdine * Dun Morogh - Yarr Hammerstone - Eastern end of Kharanos * Duskwood - Matt Johnson - North Darkshire * Exodar - Muaat - Southern section * Hellfire Peninsula - Hurnak Grimmord - Honor Hold * Hellfire Peninsula - Krugosh - Thrallmar * Ironforge - Geofram Bouldertoe - Deepmountain Mining Guild * Loch Modan - Brock Stoneseeker - Southwest end of Thelsamar * Orgrimmar - Makaru - Valley of Honor * Stormwind - Gelman Stonehand - Western end of Dwarven District * Thunder Bluff - Brek Stonehoof - Western edge of center plateau * Undercity - Brom Killian - South end of bridge leading to War Quarter * Borean Tundra - Brunna Ironaxe - Warsong Hold * Borean Tundra - Fendrig Redbeard - Valiance Keep * Howling Fjord - Jonathan Lewis - Vengeance Landing * Howling Fjord - Grumbol Stoutpick - Valgarde * Dalaran - Jedidiah Handers - Dalaran Commerce Exchange Get the Gatherer add-on and the GathererDB add-on. Gatherer will track and document where you find nodes for future Mining, and GathererDB gives you all the latest node locations. Huge time saver. There it is, that's a quick way to begin your World of Warcraft Mining Profession. Now all you need to do is get your skill level up. ------ Want to find out how to make gold fast?
