The impact that Andy Warhol has made on art and culture has been widely recognized through countless museum exhibitions, publications and films. Many people are familiar with Warhol’s famous silk-screens; much less known is the influential contribution of Warhol and his collaborators to film.
Andy Warhol affectionately named his studio “The Factory,” and his fans have something splendid to look forward to this week. Beginning Friday November 16, 2007, dozens of Warhol collaborators and scholars will convene for a week-long festival to re-appraise the Warhol Factory’s impact on the moving image. Avid moviegoers will appreciate“Warhol and the Film Factory,” which takes place through November 22 at a very different kind of place—Facets Theatre in Chicago. Those looking for the unusual will not be disappointed.

Warhol Week is taking place in Chicago at Facets, a non-profit media arts organization and international film distributor leader located on Chicago’s North Side - one of the nation's largest distributors of foreign,Air Jordan 22, classic, cult, art, and rare , unusual, hard-to-find cinema.
