Post Air Force 1 High 07 Some Wardrobe Do's And Don'ts
vision of good storage for your clothes is essential to prolong their lives. Clothes should not be allowed to get caught in the wardrobe's doors, nor should they rub against the walls and back. All garments should be as well ventilated as possible, and hang as far apart as space allows. A wardrobe, ideally, should have a combination of short and long hanging spaces, some shelves and even some drawers. A contemporary wardrobe should have been designed with today's garment sizes in mind [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and so be at least 60cm deep. A short hanging space should be about a metre high, and a long hanging space around a metre and a half tall.
When planning the inside of your wardrobe, be it built-in or freestanding, be aware that although drawers afford extra protection for your clothes, they're significantly more expensive. More expensive too are good quality clothes hangers. Try and use smooth [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], wooden ones, as wire (and to a lesser extent, plastic) can snag on clothes and tear them.
Lighting the inside of your bedroom wardrobe is very important too, especially if it's deep. Use fluorescent lights which burn cooler than traditional bulbs (even energy-saving bulbs). It's worth considering LED lamps, which are very inexpensive. Lighting in many contemporary wardrobes comes on when the door opens, which both saves energy and lends a touch of luxury to your wardrobe.
As well as storing clothes, bedroom wardrobes can be used to store all sorts of other items, from accessories to shoes. Manufacturers of contemporary wardrobes are always coming up with new and ingenious devices to help you store smaller items. They key to choosing these is the ability to be able to see quickly what's stored where. If you have to rummage through your wardrobe, it needs organising better [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]! Here are some popular storage solutions that you might like to consider:
- a shoe rack. Leather shoes should not be stored touching one another (and certainly not in a heap at the bottom of the wardrobe). Use shoetrees to preserve their shapes.
- Polaroid snaps of shoes can be stuck to the outside of shoe boxes to save you having to open every box to find the pair you want.
- tie racks. These can either be on the back of the wardrobe door, or hung from a rail inside the wardrobe.
- transparent drawer fronts. These allow you to see a drawer's contents quickly and easily.
- fabric pockets. These usually hang on the back of the wardrobe's door and are used to store any number of small objects, such as shoes, scarves and gloves.
- drawer organisers. These divide up drawers so that individual items can be stored and identified easily. Especially useful for socks and underwear.
