Post jordan spizike Toy Story 3 You've Still Got a Frie
In short [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Toy Story 3 has been worth the wait. The effects of the film, while certainly advanced, successfully maintain the pleasing ambience of the original Toy Story; the plot is simple yet effective, building to an epic conclusion; and Randy Newman's soundtrack is – as always – brilliant. No doubt, many cinema-goers will leave the auditorium thinking: Toy Story, “You've [still] Got a Friend in Me.”
The film begins with a retrospective look at the original Toy Story. No doubt, fans will cheers when they hear lines such as, “Ha, ha! Money, money, money!” and “I've brought my attack dog, with a built in force-field!” from Mr. Potato Head's alter ego, One-Eyed Bart. This re-enactment is seen from the imaginative perspective of the young Andy, offering an alternate spin on the famed opening scene.
Following this introduction, retrospection turns to progression and the true plot of Toy Story 3 begins. At this point viewers may doubt where the story is headed; to be sure, the thought of leaving Andy's room indefinitely is a little too much to bear – not only for the on-screen toys, but also for their off-screen fans. However, the story soon gains momentum via the introduction of new characters: Lots O', the not-so-huggable bear; Mr. Pricklepants, a theatrical hedgehog; Ken, Barbie's object of lust; and many other quirky characters, friends and enemies alike.
Toy Story is a franchise that appeals to all ages. At the premier of Toy Story 3, this diversity is reflected in the sheer volume and variety of individuals that have come to see the film: a few adults, that undoubtedly saw the original Toy Story way back in 1995; a couple of teenagers, who possibly managed to catch Toy Story 2 in 1999; and countless kids, who are experiencing Toy Story at the cinema for the first time. Many of the viewers filling the auditorium – except for the young newcomers, of course – have been waiting eleven years for the next adventure of Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen). Has Lee Unkrich's Toy Story 3 been worth the wait?
This middle section of Toy Story 3 is certainly fantastic; the conclusion of the tale, on the other hand, is phenomenal. Taking place in a hellish location – thus surpassing the car-chase of Toy Story and the airport-scene of Toy Story 2 – it brings a tear to the eye and serves as a fitting end to the Toy Story franchise; for now, at least.

The Story: fifteen years on
The third instalment of Toy Story takes place when Andy has reached the age of 17. The toys – Woody, Buzz, Rex, and the rest of the gang – have consequently become neglected by their owner. Therefore [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], when it's announced that Andy will be moving to college, the toys fear that they will be thrown out. After a hasty misunderstanding the toys find themselves in a daycare centre. Surrounded by carefree kids, they soon learn that they are not free to come and go as they please; rather, the toys are prisoners [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], unable to leave any time soon.
Critique: retrospection and progression
Result: worth the wait?
