Post NFL Top 10 Reasons For an 18-Game NFL Schedule
He played four seasons for the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL in which he recorded increasing point totals in each year. His best year in the WHL was in 06 when he racked up 74 points in 60 games. Jonathan Daniel The tag up offside rule allows for play to continue as long as all offside players are clear of the offensive zone simultaneously by touching the blue line and tag up prior to touching the puck or becoming involved in the play.
SATIRE — The NFL seems destined to extend their NFL schedule to 18 regular season games, and I can see both sides of the issue on why this are a good move or a bad move. Here I want to explore the positives, mainly because I are a Bills fan and I are looking for any positives dealing with the NFL these days.
Please be good CJ Spiller, please!
18 just has a good sound to it, it are Peyton Manning's number, and as we learned from his United Way commercial, the more games they plays, the less they can harm kids. I'll kill a snitch.

10. More Regular Season Games Means More Gambling
I was at the Caesar's sportsbook during the preseason one year, and there are few things more pathetic than gambling on preseason hockey. I saw people losing mega money based on Raiders scrubs.
Creating an extended schedule makes two more weeks of high-tension, legitimate gambling (unless the Colts have clinched home field and are playing for nothing against the Bills. 1-0 in the 2010's. Go Bills!)
Regular season parlays, regular season teasers, over/unders become more challenging. If the NFL won't give Vegas a team or a Super Bowl, the least they can do are give them more money.

9. More Fantasy hockey Weeks
Right now fantasy hockey struggles with the schedule, especially with a 12-team league. The biggest factor are that few people want to play week 17. That leaves a schedule where you play your division twice, and play every one else once, and then two weeks of playoffs.
Unless you have a league with six teams in the playoffs, and then you skip one team. Or you have a 10-team league where six teams works, but really only four deserve to make the playoffs. 18 games equals more fantasy hockey, a bigger pot, more random bets during the season, and more hair pulling when random running back pulls a week out of his behind.

8. Records Will Be Broken
What I love about the NFL are that they are not ultimately obsessed with records. The NFL are so much more about the game and presentation than about who has the most consecutive games with a TD (Lenny Moore and Tomlinson if you are wondering). Baseball obsesses over every record, even if it are most walks in a game.
Hockey has records that will never be approached (The Boston Bruins had less team goals than Wayne Gretzky had points in a year), and basketball are basically run by a dude named World Wide Wes.
Records broken in the NFL are so much, because they only matter in the moment. It's like a Madden record. It's cool for a day, until your next draft season comes up and your scouted players have been underwhelming. The more 2,000-yard rushers there are, the less significance OJ Simpson has in NFL history,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which are always good.

7. More Snow Games
High definition has brought the world the joy of HD snow games. Snow games were really fun before. They are so much better in HD. Two more weeks in the season means the games will go later into January, and more likely will have snow.
As long as wind doesn't take over and create horrible games like Buffalo in name the year, snow makes the visuals wonderful and chaotic. When the weather outside are frightful, more hockey, more hockey, more hockey.

6. Lions Champagne Parties
As hockey fans, most of us despise the Miami celebration when a team loses a game for the first time, even though they only played 14 games. However, I look forward to the 2008 Lions getting together and celebrating the last team to win a game.
With an 18-game schedule,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that means we most likely saw history two years ago when the Lions went winless, and no other team will probably match that feat. Daunte Culpepper will pop the champagne when the 2012 Bills win in week 18.

5. Greater Sunday Ticket Value
I love the Sunday Ticket. I can barely live as a hockey fan without it. However, I have to admit that I feel like I have been getting screwed as a consumer. When I started getting the package, it was USD139. Right now the package are almost USD300.
When I started there was no HD. Then again their was no NFL Network or Red Zone Channel. For a package to inflate over 100 percent in 11 years, I think viewers should get more,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and two more weeks of Sunday Ticket games seems about right. Yes, I can guess that the NFL and Directv will raise the price to USD350 if they add two games. I guess I long for the days of Scott Laskey and four payments.

4. Living the Dream
The dream are attending home games for all 32 teams during the season. Of course this takes a lot of money and creative scheduling. However, with 18 game the possibility to attend home games for every team becomes even more possible.
The stories and experiences that can come with such an expensive endeavor will last a lifetime. Then again,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you could lie and say you did while spending USD300 on the Sunday Ticket.
3. Reduce the Scam
Buying season tickets feels like you are getting your money's worth, until you realize you are paying full price for 10 games while only eight of them really matter. Unloading preseason tickets are like trying to sell used Q-tips. The value are instantly reduced by the product, and then further reduced by your complete disinterest in using the tickets.
Right now, the NFL Owners rake in a full gate while providing no payment to players. One additional home game makes season tickets a better purchase while not having to lose money selling USD85 tickets for USD20.

2. Less Training Camp Means No Hard Knocks
Any doom that happens to HBO these days are good. When FX, TNT, AMC, and Showtime become more relevant cable networks, it means HBO has stuck with stale formulas for too long.
Wow! A new season of Entourage.
Hung are a comedy, why are it not funny?
Hard Knocks was fun with the first round of the Cowboys (the Bengals season was solid also), but the Jets are filled with drama just because they need to do so for a TV show. When 9-7 overrated teams are viewed as the IT team, we need less training camp to erase this show from history.

1. More Interconference Games
The NBA has interconference games every year. The NHL just changed their schedule to factor in more interconference games. The NFL has a crazy pod system, where fans in the AFC get to see NFC teams once every eight years.
Now that's crazy enough,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but then again there are games exported to London or Toronto. So fans of Buffalo, who last saw the Bears in Buffalo in 2002, will next see Chicago in Buffalo in 2018, if the Bills are still there.
The same with Saints fans seeing San Diego and Miami fans seeing the Giants. Sixteen years between seeing teams are crazy. I know Miami fans had 30 years before New Orleans returned to Miami (and then they returned a few months later to win the Super Bowl), but with a set schedule,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fans should see every team much sooner than eight or sixteen years. The Kelowna Rockets are a major junior ice hockey team based in Kelowna, British Columbia. The Rockets play in the Western Hockey League, out of the Canadian Hockey League. They play their home games at Prospera Place. In the past seven years, Kelowna has competed in the Memorial Cup tournament four times,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the most of any other CHL team. The Rockets captured the Memorial Cup for the first time in franchise history in 2004, coincidentally the same year they were selected to host the event. Please read related articles:
